Prof. Tam Takamichi MITO (Ph.D)

Tam Takamichi MITO is a visiting scholar at The Asia Institute, The University of Melbourne. He has taught Japanese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Harvard and Lund University Programs in Japan, Kyushu, Kwansei Gakuin and Waseda Universities as a professor and also at Cambridge, London and Monash Universities as an affiliated, sessional and senior lecture. He has co-edited many publications including Japanese Studies in the Asia Pacific Region (Hong Kong: Society of Japanese Language Education, 2008) and Japanese Language Education in the Asia Pacific Region Book 1 and Book 2 (Hong Kong: Society of Japanese Language Education, 2008). Prof. Ashok Kumar Chawla

Prof. Ashok Kumar Chawla is the Advisor (Japan) at East Asia Divison in the Ministry of External Affairs, India since January 2017 and he is handling all aspects of India-Japan relations. He is also continuing research on various aspects of trans- national communication & terminological studies as part of On-going Translation Training Program of CSIR-NISCAI..

Prof. Ashok Kumar Chawla

Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Chawla is the Advisor (Japan) at East Asia Divison in the Ministry of External Affairs, India since January 2017 and he is handling all aspects of India-Japan relations. He is also continuing research on various aspects of trans- national communication & terminological studies as part of On-going Translation Training Program of CSIR-NISCAI. He has experience of teaching at the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has provided special lectures at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Tokyo International University, Amity University, EFLU, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan (ULMIM) and Mody University, India. Dr. Chawla has presented 64 papers, published 31 articles, translated 23 books, reviewed 3 books,prepared 4 reports and published 3 books. He had the privilege of high-level interpretation, including for all Prime Ministers of India and Japan since around 2000, for all Presidents of India and for the Emperor of Japan. He facilitated setting up of Indo-Japan Friendship Association, Japanese Language Teachers Association, Japan India Student Conference in New Delhi.
